Step One: Dread the sheer volume of seedpods.

Step Two: Wait for wind to knock them to the ground.

Step Three: Alternately praise gravity for its work and curse the wind for not being strong enough to knock them all down at once.

Step Four: Play your “injured finger card” to get your neighbor to sweep them up for you.

Step Five: Repeat steps one through four a thousand times.
