Hey look! Pretty flowers!

First, on Lady Evermore, an Aeschynanthus:

Not the greatest photos, but such a chill houseplant. Low maintenance, fast growing. I love those bright red blooms – you can seem them from a long way away.

The Echeveria is still impressing me with its funky blooms:

They were an unexpected surprise. I had no idea what the blooms would look like.

Outside, it must be getting closer to fall, because the Zauschneria (California Fuchsia) has its first bloom:

There should be lots more in the coming months. I’m really glad I decided to add the plant to my container garden – I love fall-blooming plants. I’ll be cutting that Bougainvillea back so the Zauschneria can really shine.

Also while I was away, the Portulaca exploded with cheerful pink blooms (the first shot was in the morning, the second later in the day when the flowers fully opened):

Those little guys thrill me no end!

Man, I love flowers! They make me smile every time I see them.
