Hello basketballas, and happy Friday!

Welcome back to the Good To Grow site, and thanks for being here.

It’s Friday, it’s March Madness, it’s spring, and it’s time for some weekend fun.

Our beloved Experts on are on a much-deserved break, so let’s admire their adorableness:

And move on to the plant puzzler:

???Real or Fake???

Last week, I asked if these flowers were real or fake:

Good To Grow, real or fake plant puzzler

Not an easy puzzler!

Let’s see how you answered:

mr_subjunctive from Plants Are the Strangest People wrote, “Real?”

Joseph Brenner wrote, “I’m going with real.(B>{D>”

Claude from Random Rants and Prickly Plants wrote, “Looks real… but im not wearing my glasses….”

Then he added, “Notice how i cleverly left myself an out if im wrong? Sneaky, aint i?”

Sneaky indeed, Claudee-day-ee-o!

That’s three votes real, zero votes fake.

What’s the correct answer?

Maybe a closer look will help:

Good To Grow, Liza's photos, real or fake plant puzzler

Real! And very pretty! Real flowers and plants are always more interesting than fake ones. And more rewarding. These photos aren’t very good – I was trying to be sly when I took them with my phone at a casa in Santa Fe – but even with the poor quality, you can tell they’re prettier than plastic flowers.

mr_subjunctive, you were first with the correct answer, which makes you the best answerer. Congratulations! For being so speedy, this week you’ve earned the following eipthet: THE BEST MOST PLANTASTIC PERSON IN IOWA. PERIOD.

Let’s say you’re at an event this weekend and you meet the Mayor of your fine town. You should introduce yourself as mr_subjunctive THE BEST MOST PLANTASTIC PERSON IN IOWA. PERIOD. Make sure you put some lungs into it – make sure everyone knows you mean business. I’m certain it’ll earn you heaps of respect. Who knows – maybe you’ll get appointed to a very important government gardening position! Not only does your epithet award roll off the tongue, it also carries mad clout. You’ll see. Well played, mr_s, congrats again. You may multiply all the prizes by two Spanish lullabies.

Everyone’s a winner this week. To show my appreciation for you playing, I’d like to award each of you the following prizes: One billion dollar bracket, a spring menu, nine basketball-shaped gummi bears, four yoga poses, ginger ale, 18 1/3 points, a moonlight salsa dance, two orange pillows, an extra time-out, a bouquet of Narcissus flowers, 47 noodles, periwinkle, one spare elbow, a free elevator ride, mustard, 12 shiny pebbles, a coupon good for one voucher, eight kudos, overtime, A+, two church steeples, another dance move, a galactic timepiece and one cheerleader pyramid. Congratulations, and thank you for playing!
