Hello fair enthusiasts, and happy Friday!

Welcome back to the Good To Grow site, and thanks for being here.

Woohoo for Friday! We waited patiently all week!

Our beloved Experts on are on a much-deserved break, so let’s admire their adorableness:

And then move on to the plant puzzler:

???Real or Fake???

Last week, I asked if these plants were real or fake:

Good To Grow, Liza's photos, real or fake plant puzzler

Let’s see how you answered:

Joseph Brenner of Texas wrote, “Real.(B>{D}”

Martha from the Plowing Through Life site wrote, “You fooled everyone, Liza! I missed that puzzle, but I would have guessed real, too. For this one, I’m guessing real.”

Claude from the Random Rants and Prickly Plants site wrote, “Im gonna say real… what is that? Cactus and thyme? Interesting combo….”

Ivynettle from the Letters and Leaves site wrote, “This week, I’m pretty confident they’re real.”

That’s four votes real, zero votes fake.

What’s the correct answer?

Maybe a wider view will help:

They’re REAL! And pretty cool looking. Claude, I think it is a thyme variety, though I’m not 100% certain. You can see that it wants more water than the cactus, but it’s hanging in there. Even with flaws like brown areas, real plants are prettier than fake ones.

Great job, everyone! No fooling you this week!

To show you my appreciation for playing, I’d like you each to have the following prizes: One opening weekend of the New Mexico State Fair, five gold stars, 23 eyelashes, one new groove, three baby dolphins, 11 extra credit points, a nice pair of slacks, 13 moments in the zone, six decorative pillows, four Ferris wheel rides, a rocking chair, five blushes, one jackpot, four manzanitas, one all-expenses paid trip to the photo booth at the fair, 50 spare years of good health, Jeff, seven funnel cakes, 17 more September mornings, one deep fried green chile cheeseburger (just kidding – that’s no prize!), three compliments on your morals, Jemez Falls, one garlic press, a high five, two bejeweled crowns, quite the bounty, aurora borealis, a scholarship, one spatula, three blue ribbons, two art exhibits, and one lasting impression. Congratulations, and thanks so much for playing!

Up next, a new puzzler:
