Hello snowbirds, and happy Friday!

Welcome back to the Good To Grow site, and thanks for being here.

Ah, Friday, how we’ve missed you so! December moves so fast, it’s hard to believe we’re almost halfway through it!

Today, we’ll have some puzzler action for you. But first, a quick bit of happy news. Our beloved Experts will be back next Friday for a holiday panel for your enjoyment. Yay! I’m looking forward to sharing their holiday thoughts with you.

They are still on a break today, so let’s admire their adorableness:

And then move on to the plant puzzler:

???Real or Fake???

Last week, I asked if this Euphorbia milii flower (and plant) was real or fake:

Let’s see how you answered:

Claude from the Random Rants and Prickly Plants site wrote, “Well if it ain’t your E. milli, it’s sombodies. They are completely And totally cool, arent they? So, real.”

Joseph Brenner from Texas wrote, “Real.(B>{D}”

That’s two votes real, zero votes fake.

What’s the correct answer?

Let’s take a wider view and see if that helps us figure it out:

Real plant, real flowers! And so, so cute! Euphorbia milii flowers are the best – the flower part is the yellow center, surrounded by cream-colored bracts. It’s exciting for me to see these particular flowers blooming, as they don’t get any direct sunlight in their spot in an office at Channel 4 (you can see they’re reaching up to the window that’s above them). I wasn’t sure how they were going to do in that location, but they’re doing just fine. Great, low-maintenance plants!

Well played, fine sirs! You nailed this week’s puzzler. Congratulations!

To show you my appreciation for your participation, I’d like to award you each the following prizes: One Geminids Meteor Shower weekend, 17 Christmas ornaments, four Zia symbols, blue eye shadow, three baby turtles, one yogurt berry parfait, elevation, 14 1/2 bonus points, Gillian, five new holiday traditions, two coffee cups, a snowglobe, one oval mirror, eternal optimism, six gumdrops, two enticing mysteries, sausage lasagna, one denim jacket, Rio Chamita, a hairdryer, joy, 15th Street, one cast iron skillet, beige, Estancia, your own island, replacement abs, Dustin Hoffman, five accolades, a foxtrot, 12 walnuts, holiday cheer, one foot stool, a tray of peppermints, the title of “Mr. Awesome” for the weekend, one veranda, garlic bread, a new fireplace, whimsy, two mugs of hot chocolate, four stairs, three posters, and a new scooter!

Congrats again, and thanks for playing!

Up next, a new puzzler for you:
