Look who came home! Back to her parsley:
Do you recognize her? It would be understandable if you didn’t. She used to look like this:
Or maybe she was the other one out of the two caterpillars that squatted here for awhile. How could I tell the difference, right? Luckily, it doesn’t matter. I’m tickled that one of them came back!
As soon as I saw her (this happened last week), I ran inside for my camera.
She was flittering all over the place, checking out the other plants. Like the peppers:
Then she went back to the parsley and sorta just hung out, allowing me to walk around her a bit with the camera. If you scroll really fast, it’ll be like you were there with me:
Eeeeeee – she made me all happy!

Thanks, Ginny! I think she’s adorable! I hope she laid eggs! If she really was one of those caterpillars, I think her return is so cool!

I can understand your excitement, I get the same way when I see a butterfly – especially a Swallowtail!

Thanks, Dave! We must be kindred spirits. Not too surprising – we’re gardeners and Hoosiers!

Hurrah! That’s great – I haven’t seen any caterpillars at all this year.

Jason, I only saw those two, but they were more than enough to make me super happy. I’m going to plant parsley every year now just to attract the Swallowtails.
