Well whaddaya know? Remember when I smuggled those Euphorbia milii ‘Crown of Thorn’ cuttings from Florida back to New Mexico? (I wrote about them here.) They dropped all their leaves shortly after I planted them, so I didn’t hold a lot of hope for them to survive. But they did, and now they’re producing new leaves!
It’s so exciting!
Appropriately, the new leaves started emerging just before Easter. Coincidence? I could not answer that. But it’s cool.

I don’t know how many different types of Euphorbias(and there are MANY) I threw out before figuring out this is one of their natural mechanisms. They are not ideal plants for impatient people, or as my mother put it, “Leave it alone and it will grow.”

The irony here is that she considers herself to have a “black thumb.”(B>{D}

How strange! She obviously knows a lot about certain plants!
