Hi! My name is Liza. Welcome to my blog and thanks for visiting! I’m a Midwestern gal now living in Arizona, after many years of living in and owning a plant care business in New Mexico.
Plants are living, breathing creatures, and if they’re indoor plants, they are 100% dependent on human care. They cannot water themselves.
Please let me know if you have questions or if you would like help with your plants or garden. You can reach me at lizatheplantlady (at) gmail (dot) com or follow me on Twitter, Lizawheeler7.
All photos are mine unless otherwise noted. All content is also entirely my hard work. If you’d like to use any content or photos, all you have to do is ask. If you take without asking, you are a thief. And thieves suck. So don’t suck. We have a deal? Good.

That is really nice. I wouldn’t mind if my back yard looked like that either! 🙂

It’s not the greatest photo, but I still like the design!

I just wouldn’t mind a backyard I like it all, except those spiral junipers. They’re a bit much for me

Tom, me too. I almost said, “minus the topiaries” but then decided not to bother.

I’d like to think that your readership is so tasteful that the “without the topiaries” would just be assumed.

A great backyard for the Southwest. I think it would be out of place in the Midwest.

Yes, I agree. Those plants would grow great here. Thanks for stopping by my site!

Interesting. Looks like a terraced plan maybe going down from a patio onto a pebbled area. Love the lavender (?). Somewhat formal but very appealing to me. I also love the sound of a pebbled walkway as it reminds me of walking around gardens in Europe.

Desert Dweller/David C.
Nice axis, good dialogue between hardscape vs. plants vs. gravel path crunch. Planting design too busy, though spiky and flowering make up.
(tree fern, back fence, and coppery dracaena or NZ flax tell me coastal California?)

I like that back fence, David. I figured you’d appreciate it. I have no idea where this garden is – I couldn’t find it on the site.
