I’d never see lemon balm bloom before, so I was very intrigued when I noticed the plant beginning to change (the stems started getting taller, sortof like what basil and oregano do when they start to flower).
I kept an eye on it, and soon enough, spotted the itty bitty flowers:
So cute!
Aaaand hard to see unless you get right up in the plant’s grill.

Our bees love the lemon balm when it blooms. Hence the genus name Melissa. Not a real showy bloomer though!
